Neville Dastoor

Chairman, Director and Corporate Secretary

Mr. Neville Dastoor, P.Eng., MBA, CFA has over 20 years of technical and finance experience including over 15 years in mining finance.  Mr. Dastoor is a co-founder, Director and Corporate Secretary of CTEC.

Mr. Dastoor is currently a Principal with INFOR Financial, an independent investment bank that offers advice on mergers and acquisitions, capital raises and corporate restructurings. Mr. Dastoor’s focus is on the mining sector. From 2004-2016, he was part of the mining team at Canaccord Genuity in Toronto and Vancouver where he was most recently a senior partner in the mining investment banking group. While there, Mr. Dastoor successfully advised clients on transactions ranging from M&A and restructurings to IPOs, RTOs and financings. Prior to joining the investment banking team at Canaccord Genuity, Mr. Dastoor was in mining equity research where he covered many of the Canadian listed precious metals producers. From 2008-2013, Mr. Dastoor served on the TSX Venture Exchange Local Advisory Committee. Prior to joining Canaccord Genuity, Mr. Dastoor worked as a structural engineer in Toronto.

Mr. Dastoor holds a B.Sc. (Civil Engineering) from Queen’s University and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. He also holds a Professional Engineering designation and is a CFA charterholder.

Charles Gryba

President, CEO and Director

Mr. Charles Gryba, P.Eng. is a Professional Engineer with over 30 years of operational experience in the mining industry.  Mr. Gryba is a co-founder, the CEO and a Director of CTEC.

He was previously founder, President, CEO and Director of Claim Post Resources from 2005 to 2017.  Mr. Gryba had also been a Consultant for and Director of Sandspring Resources Ltd., served as the President and Director at St Andrew Goldfields Ltd., was Chief Operating Officer and Director of First Metals Inc., served as President of Moneta Porcupine Mines and was VP Business Development of Groundstar Resources Ltd.

He gained operations experience with HBM&S, Cantung and Pamour from 1973 to 1986. He has established two private corporations, Urban Mining International Inc. and DPM Mining Inc. He has served as a Director of various public and private companies including California Gold Mining Inc., Moneta Porcupine Mines and South American Gold and Copper Co. Ltd. (now Cerro Grande Mining Corporation) and Washmax Corp.

Mr. Gryba earned a Bachelor of Science in Mining from the University of Saskatchewan and holds a Professional Engineering designation.

Julian Kemp

Director

Mr. Julian Kemp, BBA, CPA, CA C.Dir. has over 25 years of experience in the mining industry, mostly serving in senior financial and administrative management roles. Mr. Kemp is Chairman and Director of CTEC.

His experience has been focused on restructuring and transforming exploration and development companies into producers. Mr. Kemp has guided various junior mining companies with precious metals, base metals and coal operations in North America and internationally as well as mining engineering and contracting companies. Mr. Kemp was Interim President and CEO of Rubicon Minerals Corporation between April and December 2016, leading the successful implementation of a restructuring transaction. Formerly, he was the Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Fortune Minerals Limited, a position he held from 2004 to 2013. He is currently Chairman and Director of Rubicon Minerals Corporation and a Director of Marathon Gold Corp. Mr. Kemp has also previously served as a Director for a number of public companies such as Claim Post Resources Inc. and Goldgroup Mining Inc. (formerly Sierra Minerals Inc.).

Mr. Kemp is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. In addition, Mr. Kemp obtained the Chartered Director (C.Dir.) designation from The Directors College (a joint venture of McMaster University and The Conference Board of Canada) in 2012.

Wes Roberts

Director

Mr. Wes Roberts, M.Sc., P.Eng., MBA is a professional mining engineer with over 35 years of experience specializing in the economic evaluation and development of mineral deposits.  Mr. Roberts is a Director of CTEC.

Over his career, Mr. Roberts has gained extensive experience in mineral exploration, mining operations, Project engineering and management as well as diverse mining engineering experience that includes precious metals, base metals, iron ore and industrial minerals. 

Mr. Roberts has held numerous positions in the mining industry, which include Canada Talc Limited, Derry Michener Booth & Wahl, Davey International, Bharti Engineering, GMP Securities, Inco Ltd, Breakwater Resources Ltd (VP Corporate Development (2006 to 2008), VP Mining to the Canadian law firm Heenan Blaikie LLP (2008-2014), Mineral Engineering Consultant with the American law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP (2014 to 2016) and most recently as in-house technical support for Gravitas Financial.

Since 2011, he has actively advised and represented the Inuit Regional Associations of the Territory of Nunavut, (Arctic, Canada) with respect to providing commercial land access lease agreements with major mining companies including the Mary River Iron Ore Project (Baffinland Iron Ore Corp. and ArcelorMattel), Meliadine Gold Project (Agnico Eagle Mines), Hope Bay Gold Project (Newmont Gold and TMAC) and the Back River Gold Project (Sabina Gold & Silver Corp.).

Mr. Roberts holds a B.Sc. (Mining Engineering) and M.Sc. (Mining Engineering) from Queen's University, and an M.B.A. (Finance) from the Schulich School of Business (York University).

John Sullivan

Director

Mr. John Sullivan, B.Sc., P.Geo. has over 40 years of experience as a senior economic geologist managing precious and base metal exploration projects at all stages of development. Mr. Sullivan is a Director of CTEC.

He has directed major exploration programs, managed field offices and evaluated projects in Canada, Europe, Africa and Latin America.  He has also worked as a mine geologist and helped to successfully bring a new mine in Manitoba into production. Mr. Sullivan was most recently VP Exploration of Excellon Resources Inc. (2007 – 2016), where he led the exploration team in Mexico which successfully tripled the mineral resource of the high-grade Ag, Pb, Zn Platosa.  While with Excellon he was also a key player in the evaluation and successful acquisition of two junior companies.

Mr. Sullivan previously led teams which discovered five small Cu, Zn VMS zones in Canada and a Zn deposit in Ireland. Mr. Sullivan’s experience has been gained largely in North America, however, he spent five years living and working offshore, four of which were spent evaluating new advanced opportunities, including large producing assets, as leader of a small team operating throughout Europe, Turkey, Iran and northern Africa.  He also spent a year in Chile managing an advanced Au, Cu porphyry project through a preliminary economic evaluation.

He has worked for Hudson Bay Mining, Noranda, Watts, Griffis and McOuat, and Excellon. Mr. Sullivan holds a B.Sc. from Queen’s University.
